CNC turning is a machining process where a rotating chuck holds the workpiece in place and rotates at high speeds while a tool operates in a linear motion to remove material from the workpiece. Surface grinding is a machining method that processes and grinds surfaces with high accuracy and efficiency. It relies on a rotating wheel with a coarse surface coating made up of various materials. The spinning wheel removes pieces of metallic or nonmetallic substances from the surface of the workpiece to create a smooth or flat surface.
By removing the oxide layer and other impurities from the workpiece, surface grinding creates a more refined look. Surface grinding methods include vertical swivel, horizontal spindle single disk, vertical spindle rotary, vertical spindle, and horizontal spindle grinding.+
EDM (Wire, Ram & Hole Drilling)
Electrical discharge machining relies on electrical energy to erode material from a workpiece. It works exclusively with electrically conductive materials, using an arc of high-frequency sparks emitted from between the electrode and the workpiece. The sparks erode microscopic particles from the workpiece, which are then flushed from the substrate using a dielectric fluid. Three distinct types of EDM include wire EDM, ram EDM, and EDM hole drilling.
